- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Mix shortening, sugars, peanut butter, and eggs until nice and creamy.
- Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
- Roll into 1½-inch balls and criss-cross with fork.
- Sprinkle sugar over the top of each cookie.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
