Scones

Put out of your head the thoughts of dry and crusty scones. These scones are moist and delicious and are perfect with a hot cup of coffee or tea...or even plain!

SconesIngredients

2 cups flour

1/3 cup sugar

6 tablespoons unsalted butter

½ teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon baking powder

2/3 cup dried cherries

1 cup heavy cream

Finely crumb flour, sugar, butter, salt, and baking powder. Add cherries and heavy cream. Place dough on floured surface and let it sit for 2 minutes. Then pat and mold dough into a circle ½” thick. Take a 3” cookie cutter and cut out the scones. Place them on buttered cookie sheets. Sprinkle sugar on the top of each scone. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
